Emphasis Theme Update Communication
The Events Calendar will be getting a new look
On June 28th, the Events Calendar theme will update with a new look. This is a design update. No events will be impacted and no widgets that are embedded in other websites will be affected.
However, with this new look, there will be a notable user experience change. The existing left-hand sidebar and all its content will be replaced by two buttons, a “Filter” button and a three-dot “More” button.

Filter button
Currently, event categories and types are listed in the left-hand sidebar. This functionality will be replaced by the Filter button. Here, you will be able to fine-tune the display of events you are interested in.
More button (three-dots)
The public event submission form Widget builder links and Help documentation links are now behind the three-dot “More” button. The Widget builder experience will remain the same.
